Commercially activated carbon as the source for producing multicolor photoluminescent carbon dots by chemical oxidation

Abstract: Using commercially activated carbon, we developed a simple and effective direct chemical oxidation route to prepare good biocompatible multicolor photoluminescent carbon dots.
