We are especially glad to present this topic issue due to its articles' high quality of scholarship and relevance for IJBC's mission to be a boundary spanning, global community of ethical scholars who advance workplace communication through rigorous research (J. Mayfield & Mayfield, 2023a). CSR provides a touchstone in business ethics studies, and the Responsible Research in Business and Management group (Academy of Management) has embedded it into its vision of "To imagine a world where business or management research is used widely in practice by business organizations to improve the lives of people in our societies" (personal correspondence, December 21, 2023). This priority reflects stakeholder theory where an organization has a purpose to generate value for all stakeholders, not just shareholders (Freeman & Dmytriyev, 2017).As business/organizational communication scholars, we have made impressive strides and can achieve much more in advancing effective altruism-the power of research to leverage positive social change (Kassirer et al., 2023). Communication ethics is an important factor for a politician in conveying content on social media. Ethics is also a guide in gaining popularity, especially for politicians who want to fight for power. This study aims to examine the ethics of communication on Kaesang Pangarep's YouTube account. Using Habermas's (1984) communication ethics approach, this study examines the various approaches to popularity-based communication ethics by Kaesang. By using a qualitative approach, content analysis is a research method that is applied with an emphasis on descriptive. This research finds many novelties in the study of communication ethics. Kaesang adheres to communication ethics such as communicative action and dramaturgical approach. Kaesang also displays honesty by showing originality as an effort to construct legitimacy. Then, the research states that there is no violation of the validity of the truth, determination and honesty that Kaesang. To apply communication ethics, this study reveals the popularity of abracadabra by Kaesang, namely using caution in rhetoric and polite language style

Higher education here is taken to be education beyond school level: often at an institution (a university) that has degree-awarding powers, though some programmes may lead to a diploma, certificate or other award or qualification. Nomenclature around “research” in the associated teaching and learning is contested: professional enquiry, scholarship of teaching and learning, pedagogical research… are some of the terms used. Authors discuss and distinguish such terms. An ethical issue is a circumstance in which a moral conflict arises or is implicit and should be resolved in a morally acceptable way. These include privacy, informed consent, insider research and power relationships within higher education research; there are also fluid challenges around the use of digital contributions. Authors present a narrative exegesis of work in the associated areas, which authors argue will be of use to universities promoting such research, and of particular interest to two groups of academics wishing to systematically develop their practice in ways that contribute to the field: those on teaching-only contracts, who would also demonstrate their research credentials; and researchers from non-education-cognate fields. Authors identify directions for further work.
