Commentary and Rejoinder on and

Abstract: Social psychology took an early interest in stereotypes. But it also took a rather narrow interest. Research and theory have been overwhelmingly concerned with negative stereotypes. Positive stereotypes were commonly referenced in definitions of stereotypes, but seldom received any empirical or theoretical attention.
