Comment on Liu et al.: a comparative study of clinical effect of total knee arthroplasty in the treatment of primary osteoarthritis and osteoarthritis of Kashin-Beck disease

“…In recent years, clinical studies and meta-analysis at home and abroad have shown that acupuncture is effective in the treatment of KOA, can reduce the Visual Analogue Scale Vas in patients with KOA, significantly relieve knee pain in patients with KOA, and contribute to the functional recovery of patients with KOA, especially in improving daily activities such as morning stiffness, going up and down stairs and joint swelling, and can reduce adverse reactions [7] . Liu Fang et al used acupuncture at Huantiao, internal and external knee eyes, Xuehai, Liangqiu, Ququan, Zusanli, Sanyinjiao and Taichong points, while the control group used internal and external knee eyes, Xuehai, Liangqiu, Ququan, Zusanli, Sanyinjiao and Taichong points, and the results showed that the effective rate was 100% in the treatment group and 70% in the control group, indicating that the effect of Huantiao point in the treatment of KOA was more significant [8] .
