“…To the Editor: We read with admiration the comments by Tabassum et al 1 We have clearly mentioned the confirmatory diagnostic methods for candidiasis used in our study in the third paragraph: ''CI [Candidal intertrigo] was diagnosed by the characteristic clinical appearance and confirmed by Gram stain, potassium hydroxide preparation, and cultures in each patient,'' 2 which might have been missed by Tabassum et al 1 We disagree with the thoughts that the lesions were of soft corn. We enrolled the patients after confirmative diagnoses of CI.…”
