Combustion and Performance Analysis of a Dual-fuel Diesel Engine Using Producer Gas

Abstract: The researchers around the globe are trying to overcome energy crisis by developing suitable alternative energy source. In this work, combustion and performance analysis of a diesel engine was studied running in dual-fuel mode using producer gas. The experiment shows lower engine performance like brake thermal efficiency, increased brake specific fuel consumption and exhaust gas temperature in dual-fuel run as compared to diesel alone run.
