Abstract:Sacral insufficiency fractures (SIFs) are a common, under-recognized cause of debilitating low back pain, particularly in elderly patients with osteoporotic bone disease or risk factors for bone demineralization. Conservative therapy has been the mainstay of treatment for these types of fractures.
