Combined hepatitis A and B vaccines

Abstract: Within the last decade, the development of effective monovalent vaccines has provided a major advance in the prevention of both hepatitis A and B. We have previously reviewed these vaccines.1,2 Now, combined (bivalent) hepatitis A and B vaccines have been licensed (▼Twinrix Adult and ▼Twinrix Paediatric-SmithKline Beecham). Here we consider the potential uses for such combined vaccines.
