Combined Adsorption of the Copper and Chromium Cations by Clinoptilolite of the Sokyrnytsya Deposit

Abstract: In the paper, the assessment of the impact of heavy metals on water objects, namely copper and chromium was performed, and the methods for their neutralization were defined. A scientifically grounded method for the selection of natural zeolite for the purification of wastewater from heavy metals has been developed, provided that they are jointly present. The physicochemical characteristics of two metals related to heavy metals are presented: copper and chromium. The methods for determining the sorption capacit… Show more

“…Therefore, it is possible that results from the standard calculation can be lower than those from the strength calculations [Muscolino et al, 2021]. At the moment, there are no documents standardizing the conditional risk of destruction for high-rise buildings under seismic conditions; therefore, there is a substantial variation in its value between countries [Sabadash et al, 2020]. In this study, the conditional risk value was equal to 0.05.…”

“…The loss of performance DL depends also on the operating conditions of the equipment and the thermal insulation of the plant. The share of useful energy (exergy) in the total energy balance of the plant was calculated using the equation (22).…”

“…The last optimal system consists of a 15 m 2 composite parabolic collector tilted at an angle of 30°from the horizontal and a 600L hot water storage tank. The total life-cycle cost of a complete system, including the collector and absorption unit, for a lifetime of 20 years would be 13,380 Canadian pounds [22]. Another point contributing to the introduction of innovative thermal energy systems is the trend toward zero-energy buildings.…”

“…Aspects of environmental protection are an important component in achieving the goals of sustainable development (Mandryk et al, 2016a, Mandryk et al, 2016b. In particular, the problems of wastewater treatment using natural sorbents (Sydorchuk et al, 2014, Sabadash et al, 2020 A signi cant amount of waste is generated during wood processing. They can accumulate and cause an increase in greenhouse gases due to the decomposition of xylans (wood substances), water and soil contamination in land ll areas (causing siltation of water bodies and death of aquatic inhabitants), increasing the area of contaminated soils, increasing the population of rodents and insects (may become breeding ground for diseases).…”
