“…Table shows the spectrophotometric measurement steps for the eight experimental groups, the labeling of the obtained L*a*b* values, and the measurement steps and labeling of the ΔE values. The obtained ΔE* values have been quantified by National Bureau of Standards (NBS) units to match the color differences for the clinical conditions (NBS units‐clinically acceptable level <3.0) . The NBS units were calculated with the formula: NBS 0.33em Units =ΔnormalE*×0.92All measurements were performed under the D65 type illuminant with a 10° observation angle.…”

“…Besides denture base materials, studies also report color changes in relined dentures, maxillofacial elastomers, and artificial irises after immersion in chemical disinfectants . However, there are sparse data about the color stability of denture teeth.…”

“…However, glutaraldehyde induces inhalation toxicity and eye irritation, sodium hypochlorite induces the bleaching of dental materials, and povidone iodine induces loss of pigmentation. (4,5) Microwave ovens are simple to use, low in cost and can provide disinfection effect. (6) The disinfection of dentures with microwave irradiation has been attempted and has been found to be better than the use of sodium hypochlorite.…”
