Abstract:Inspired by the natural superhydrophobic surfaces with various colors such as the lotus leaves and the wings of butterflies, we report a one‐step method to fabricate superhydrophobic coatings by the combination of kaolin, acrylic color and organosiloxanes. The coatings were characterized using X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and other analytical techniques. Different from the previously reported method, kaolin particles were introduced to generate rough hierarchical structures o… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
