Stott and Selsor [1961] extended the observations of variability made by H ose, G y ld enstolpe and others, to Sabah. They describe the usual colour type of gibbon there as being more or less as K loss stated, with the feet often paler and an occasional white face-ring; one-sixth of the gibbons seen were darker (brown-black), one-sixth lighter (pale grey, with a dark cap).…”
