Colonization of the Krakataus by bacteria and the development of antibiotic resistance

Abstract: Our work on the bacteria of the Krakataus reported in the preceding four papers in this series involves two habitats: the soil, and the guts of vertebrates. These investigations were made in the pursuit of two main interests: bacterial colonization ability and resistance to antibiotics.
