Abstract: Dermatomyositis (DM) is a rheumatological disorder characterized by proximal myositis and distinctive dermatological manifestations. It can be an isolated clinical syndrome or, in rarer cases, can be the initial presentation for an underlying malignancy as a part of a paraneoplastic syndrome.
