Abstract:Hemiagenesis of the thyroid gland is a rare congenital abnormality usually left unnoticed without associated thyroid disorders. The most common congenital anomaly of the thyroid gland is a thyroglossal cyst, followed by ectopic thyroid tissue and thyroid dysgenesis, which may be agenesis or hemiagenesis.
