Abstract:The formation and various disintegration modes of (µ − p)2s and (µ − d)2s at kinetic energies both above and below the 2s − 2p threshold are studied. Fully quantum-mechanical calculations of the differential and integrated cross sections of the radiative collisional quenching, elastic scattering and Coulomb deexcitation of (µ − p)2s and (µ − d)2s atoms in collisions with ordinary hydrogen and deuterium atoms have been calculated at collision energies below the 2s−2p inelastic excitation. All scattering process… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
