College Students' Attitudes Toward Supporting Public Breastfeeding: The Role of Explicit and Implicit Emotions

Abstract: Learning Outcome: Distinguish between implicit and explicit emotions as they influence the intention to support public breastfeeding.Background: Societal support is essential to improve breastfeeding rates, however, current social attitudes in the United States do not fully support breastfeeding in public. The purpose of this study is to determine whether explicit and implicit emotions regarding breastfeeding in public are associated with intention to support public breastfeeding.
