Collective effects in even-mass samarium isotopes by polarized-proton scattering

Abstract: The even-mass samarium isotopes 148-~'s2Sm have been investigated by polarizedproton scattering at 20.4 MeV beam energy. The data have been analysed with an 'extended' optical model, where the intensities of the first maxima of the main inelastic chamnels are fitted in a coupied-channels calculation. The availability of analysing-power dala fumed out to be very helpful in the analysis.
