“…Numerous studies have failed to show an independent effect of patient age on CD34 + mobilization. These include six studies specific to multiple myeloma (Demirer et al , 1996; Goldschmidt et al , 1997; Guba et al , 1997; Marit et al , 1998; Desikan et al, 2001; Perea et al, 2001) and five studies that contained over 200 patients each (Bensinger et al , 1995; Guba et al , 1997; Ketterer et al , 1998; Pecora et al , 1998; Clement et al, 2000).
