Research data management benefits the scientific community through data sharing and collaborations, and its importance is much more owing to concerns from publishers, funding agencies, the public, and research organizations focussed on the quality and impact of research. Academic social networking sites facilitate the achievement of this goal through sharing and collaborating on research and ideas. ResearchGate has emerged as a platform for research data management, revolutionizing the ways to store, share, and access research data sets. The chapter highlights the significance of research data management and explores the importance of academic social networking sites in this area. It further explores ResearchGate features, which research scholars use to reflect successful collaborations, research growth, and better communication with peers. It attempts to assess the impact of RG research matrics for retaining the quality and visibility of research, which significantly impacts RG's success through openness, effectiveness, and interconnectivity in the scientific domain.
