This study aims to determine the influence of social skills between students who take part in collaborative learning and discussion. The research method used in this research is true experiment. The use of real experiments in this study aims to determine the causal influence between two factors that are intentionally treated or the treatment group and the control group and to compare the treatment and control that are not subject to treatment conditions. The subjects of this study were psychology students, there are 78 students who were divided into two groups, namely experimental and control. The results of the study showed that there were significant differences between groups that were taught with collaborative learning and groups that were taught by discussion learning. It viewed from the results of the study, it can be seen that the test results on group students who were taught by collaborative learning obtained a higher average value of social skills than the group without being taught by collaborative learning, namely by regular discussion. The average acquisition value of social skills is far adrift between the two groups.

One of the promises of edu-metaverse is that it can provide a virtual environment that can enable us to engage in learning activities that are similar to or on par with reality. Coupled with the digital enhancement that can be introduced in a virtual environment, learning in an edu-metaverse has been expected to bring novel learning experiences to students. However, despite its captivating outcome, it seems there is limited adoption of edu-metaverse for practical learning currently. We believe this can be attributed to the fact that there is a lack of investigation into learners' behavior given a social learning environment. This lack of investigation is critical, as without behavioral insight, it hinders the development of education material and the direction of an edu-metaverse.This paper aims to provide insights into learner behavior in edu-metaverse by conducting a focused pilot study. Particularly, we investigate the learners' behavior when drawing mind maps in the metaverse aided by the embedded knowledge graph. Compared to Zoom, a typical video conferencing and remote collaboration platform, it seems that users are more involved in learning activities, and the co-presence seems to assist in engagement so that they are more willing to contribute to the learning task collaboratively. Our work also provides insight into the interaction and learning activity design for edu-metaverse, particularly when mind maps are involved.

In the context of the curriculum in Madrasah (Islamic school), using mind mapping in the learning process of Arabic text reading skills is an alternative chosen to improve student's reading competence. This study aimed to describe the design process of learning Arabic text reading skills by utilizing mind mapping techniques, as well as showing the form of mind mapping that has been prepared by students individually and in groups. Qualitative method was a suitable method used in this research with the object of research was students of Arabic language study program. The research data was extracted through observation and documentation. Observation is done by observing the course of the learning process and documentation in the form of student work in the form of mind mapping is analyzed. The International Class Program (ICP) of students selected in this study amounted to 50 students in department of Arabic Language and Literature at Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim, Malang.The findings of this study showed that the compiled mind mapping shows the creativity of students, where each student makes a different and varied mind map, both in shapes, colors, and hyphens. The concept of the Buzan model mind mapping used in this study. This study concluded that learning text reading skills using mind mapping has made students more creative, active, confident, and easy to understand.
