Collaborative detection and on-line monitoring of pipeline stress in oil and gas stations

Abstract: The pipeline type of the oil and gas station is diverse, and the single detection method is difficult to comprehensively and accurately measure the pipeline stress. According to the characteristics of each detection method, non-contact pipeline magnetic detection(NPMD), metal magnetic memory(MMM), ultrasonic stress measurement (USM), and ultrasonic thickness measurement (UTM), which constitutes the collaborative detection strategy of station pipelines. According to the sensors arrangement of the non-contact pi… Show more

“…In turn, it searches for the evolution law from the accident development process and provides effective probability data support for the development of emergency response plans for the occurrence of oil and gas storage and transportation accidents. Literature [18] argues that the diversity of pipeline types in oil and gas stations makes it impossible to carry out stress detection in a single form, and thus, it is necessary to formulate a comprehensive parallel detection strategy to enhance the accuracy of the detection of oil and gas pipelines. Magnetic charge modeling was used to measure pipelines in different magnetic fields, resulting in more accurate stress test results.…”

“…At this position, the shear stress is 0, and the radial and hoop stresses are provided by the pressures inside and outside the pipeline. The axial, radial, and hoop stresses can be written as the following forms: Pipeline stress is a significant mechanical property parameter during offshore pipeline construction [49][50][51]. In severe cases, high stress can lead to plastic deformation and even fracturing of the pipeline.…”
