Collaboration of IMS and SDN to enable new ICT service creation

Abstract: Under the OTT threat, a telecom call-based ICT integration approach is studied to alleviate the revenue shrinkage. The CT-initiated IT services are thereby proposed to maintain existing telecom call service while adding OTT-like communication features on Internet. To do this, an IMS-based ICT service infrastructure is developed and the OpenFlow Controller is incorporated. Under such infrastructure the IMS call can correlate with the OpenFlow Controller and enable new ICT service creation and service control.
