Coexistence of cardiac lesions and thrombophlebitis in a patient with rheumatoid arthritis

Abstract: A 41-year-old Japanese female developed polyarthritis with fusiform deformity. Diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis was made and anti-inflammatory drugs were prescribed. Later thrombophlebitis in legs and cardiac lesions developed. The clinical course and treatment of this patient are briefly discussed.
