Abstract:Acute leukemia is basically divided into acute lymphoblastic leukemia and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). About 15-20% of childhood leukemia is caused by AML. AML is classified according to morphological, cytochemical and immunophenotypic characteristics. AML patients may present with various clinical signs and symptoms due to leukemic cell infiltration.
