Abstract

Brief analysis of the world limnological literature evidences, that pelagic zone of the great lakes seems to be much more precisely and regularly investigated as compared to their coastal zone (splash zone including). Most of the governmental monitoring schemes exclusively concentrated on the hydrochemical, hydrobiological etc. parameters and their dynamics in the pelagic zone (Zohary and Gasith, 2014; Timoshkin et al., 2015; 2018).
