“…The Bolshoe Toko basin forms a surficial landform on the southeastern Siberian Platform, which is built up of cratonic basement rocks of Precambrian age and overlain by Paleozoic to Mesozoic sedimentary rock strata and Quaternary cover sediments, in places with intercalated volcanic rock units (Nikishin et al, 2010;Barnet and Steiner, 2021). During late Jurassic to early Cretaceous time, the area formed part of an intramontane depression within the Aldan-Stanovoy Block (Imaeva et al, 2012) filled up with continental sedimentary rocks and coal deposits of the southern Yakutian coalfields (Golovin et al, 2007). Today a fault line separates the mountain range of the Stanovoy Mountains from Lake Bolshoe Toko, which is deepened into the coal deposits of southern Yakutia.…”
