Wenn inan nanilich Chlor einleitete in eine Acetanilidlosung, die gleichzeitig radioaktives NaCl enthielt, dann war das gebildete Woracetanilid auch radioaktiv; es muBte also vorher eine Austauschreaktion zwischen dein radioaktiven Chlorion und dem inaktiven Chlor stattgefunden haben.Man wird annehiiien diirfen, daB dieser Austausch iiber das sich sclinell einstellende Gleichgewicht C1-+ Cl,+Cl,vor sich geht. Zwischen Jod und Jodationen findet ein langsaiiier Austausch von Jodatoinen statt, wenn man lieifie konz. Schwefcl.siiure als 1,tkmnp;snuttel anwendet. k h y ljodid tausclit hei 100° schnell niit Jodionen, nicht (in 15 min) aher mit Jd aus. Bei Jdoforiii dagegen wurde weder mit Jod nocli mit Jodid ein Austausch beobachtet. Polismr (s.Tab. 2 9) untersiichte den Austausch zwisclien verschiedenen Wertigkeitsstufen von Mangan. Nur bei zweiwertigem tind dreiwertigem Mangan in Oxalatkotnplexen fand er eine Austaiischreaktion, die Radioaktivitat von zweiwertigein Mangan ging in waBrigen Ihungen dagegen nicht auf Pernianganat oder vierwertiges Mangan iiber. Mit radioaktiveni Arsen stellten Wikm u. Lkkkimm (s. Tab. 2 9 fest. da13 ein Austausch zwischen AsO,--und AsO,--in waljrigen Liisungen nur dann vor sich geht, wenn Jod oder Jodid zugegen ist. Es ergibt sich dann iiber ein in heiden Riclitungen sich schnell einstellendes Gleichgewicht AsO,---i-ZHJeAsO,---+ Jr + HrO eine gleichmaBige Verteilung der Radioaktivitat auf die beiden Arsenverbindungen. w. Heveey'a) wandte radioaktiven Phosphor an, um Aufnalinie und Atistausch von Phosphat in pflanzlichen und tierischen Organen festzustdlen. Sehr interessant sind auch die von Anderren (s. Tab. 219) sowie Voge 11. Libby (s. Tab. 21°)) ausgefiihrten Austauschversiiche init radioaktiveni Schwefel. Andersen stellte Thiosulfat aus radioaktivem Schwefel und Na,SOs her und zerlegte dann das Thiosulfat wieder riickwarts durch Saure. 1 )abei wurde die Radioaktivitat vollstandig in dem abgeschiedenen Scliwefel wieder erhalten, es fand also kein Austausch statt; es ist dies ein eindeutiger Reweis dafiir, dal3 im Na&&O, den beiden Schwefelatoinen eine ganz verschiedene Bedeutiing zukomint, wie dies ja auch aus cler fiir das Thiosulfat angenonimenen Struktiirforiiiel [0*./] -liervorgeli t. Zwischen Sillfat tind Siilfit oder Siilfat und Sulfid trat in 1 'la Tagen kein Austausch ein, dagegen zwischen Sulfid ttnd Disulfid, sowie zwischen Sulfid und Thiosulfat. Diese letzte Reaktion verlauft vielleicht iiber die intermediare Bildung von Disulfid und Sulfit. Wie man aus der angegebenen Literatur entnehmen kann, stehen heute in den verschiedensten Laboratorien dem Chemiker Isotope als Hilfsmittel bei seinen Untersuchungen zur Verfiigung.
