“…The high temperature condition enables the chemical reaction between the thermally activated CO 2 molecules chemisorbed into the Pt-Pd on GaN nanowires and the negatively charged ions, resulting in the extension of the depletion region depth inside the GaN nanowires. 32,33 This reaction is enhanced as the CO 2 concentration is increased, and thus the resistance of GaN nanowires increases resultantly. The relative response to NO 2 at 100 ppm was two to four times higher than that to NH 3 at 100 ppm or CO 2 at 1000 ppm, as shown in Fig.…”

“…By doping with Cr 3+ , a high decrease of resistivity was obtained, while the sensitivity remains the same. Gaudhari et al [39] carried out a study on the Ba-doped nanostructured perovskite SmCoO 3 as selective sensor for CO 2 , working at a temperature of 425 C. For an Sm substitution with Ba (Sm 0.9 Ba 0.1 CoO 3 ), a decrease in the optimum operating temperature from 425 to 370 C and a diminution of the response time are obtained.…”
