Zusammenfassung Gegenstand und Ziel: Therapie von Dermatitiden bei Koi mittels Diodenlaser. Material und Methoden: Bei 10 Koi mit definierten Haut- veränderungen wurde ein Diodenlaser (Wellenlänge 980 nm, Energiedichte 9 J/cm2) eingesetzt und die Veränderung des klinischen Bildes nach wiederholter Behandlung erfasst. In zwei Koi-Beständen erfolgte mit dem Diodenlaser die chirurgische Entfernung von durch Dermocystidium sp. verursachten Hautproliferationen. Ergebnisse: Eine Besserung des klinischen Bildes ließ sich bei neun der zehn behandelten Koi feststellen. In vier Fällen heilte die Wunde vollständig ab. Bei vier Koi ergab sich eine hohe Heilungstendenz, bei einem Tier eine geringe. Die Entfernung der durch Dermocystidium sp. verursachten Veränderungen führte in einem Koi-Bestand zur problemlosen Abheilung der Wunden. Im zweiten Bestand war bei mehreren Tieren eine Nachbehandlung erforderlich. Schlussfolgerungen und klinische Relevanz: Die Diodenlasertherapie für die Behandlung von Dermatitiden ist bei Koi-Karpfen eine erfolgversprechende Technik. Eine beschleunigte Wundheilung wurde bei bereits lange bestehenden und bisher therapieresistenten Wundflächen beobachtet. Nach dem chirurgischen Einsatz zur Entfernung von Hautproliferationen zeigte sich eine ungestörte Wundheilung. Die Diodenlasertechnik kann deshalb zur Behandlung von Dermatitiden bei Koi empfohlen werden, insbesondere nach dem erfolglosen Einsatz von Antiinfektiva sowie zur Behandlung bei Dermocystidium- Infektionen.

Carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) lasers are used for a variety of soft tissue procedures. This report describes their use in dermatitis associated with feline herpesvirus-1 (FHV) in two cheetahs.
