Heterogeneous composite ZnS/SnS 2 is designed to meet various requirements for alkali metal-ion batteries. The composite is prepared using an electrostatic spinning method and encapsulated in Ndoped carbon fibers after high-temperature vulcanization. The special structure of the composite provides a dependable interconnection and fast conductive network for alkali metal ions. The conductive carbon network shortens the diffusion path and greatly improves the migration efficiency of the alkali metal ions in the electrode. As expected, when the current density is 0.1 A g −1 , the ZnS/SnS 2 @NCNFs maintain a high discharge capacity of more than 1437.5, 1321.2, and 861.6 mA h g −1 for lithium-ion, sodium-ion, and potassium-ion batteries, respectively. What is more, a full cell using a prelithiated composite anode and a LiFePO 4 cathode is tested and shows excellent electrochemical performance. This work provides new perspectives for the development of novel anodes that can efficiently store alkali metal ions, as well as for the finestructure design of materials.

Flexible quasi‐solid‐state sodium ion batteries (SIBs) featuring their low‐cost, high safety and excellent mechanical strength have attracted widespread interest in the field of wearable electronic devices. However, the development of such batteries faces great challenges including the construction of interfacial compatible flexible electrode materials and addressing the high safety demands of electrolyte. Here selenium‐vacancies regulated bimetallic selenide heterojunctions anchored on waste cotton cloth‐derived flexible carbon cloth (FCC) with robust interfacial C‐Se‐Co/Fe chemical bonds as a flexible anode material (CCFSF) is proposed by a one‐step ultrafast and solvent‐free microwave pyrolysis method. Rich selenium vacancies and CoSe2/FeSe2‐x heterostructures are synchronously formed that can significantly improve ionic and electronic diffusion kinetics. Additionally, a uniform carbon layer coating on the surface of Se‐deficient heterostructures endows it with outstanding structural stability, thus a high reversible area capacity of 1.65 mAh cm−2 can be obtained at a current density of 1.5 mA cm−2 after 1000 cycles. The flexible cathode (PB@FCC) is also fabricated by directly growing Prussian blue nanoparticles on the FCC. Furthermore, an advanced flexible quasi‐solid‐state Na‐ion pouch cell is assembled by coupling CCFSF anode, PB@FCC cathode with P(VDF‐HFP)‐based gel polymer electrolyte. The as‐constructed full cell not only demonstrates excellent energy storage performance but also robust mechanical flexibility and safety. The present work offers an effective avenue to achieve high safety flexible energy storage device, promoting the development of flexible wearable electronic devices.This article is protected by copyright. As a pioneering battery technology, even though sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) are safe, non‐flammable, and capable of exhibiting better temperature endurance performance than lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs), because of lower energy density and larger ionic size, they are not amicable for large‐scale applications. Generally, the electrochemical storage performance of a secondary battery can be improved by monitoring the composition and morphology of electrode materials. Because more is the intricacy of a nanostructured composite electrode material, more electrochemical storage applications would be expected. Despite the conventional methods suitable for practical production, the synthesis of metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) would offer enormous opportunities for next‐generation battery applications by delicately systematizing the structure and composition at the molecular level to store sodium ions with larger sizes compared with lithium ions. Here in this review, we comprehensively discuss the progress of nanostructured MOFs and their derivatives applied as negative and positive electrode materials for effective sodium storage in SIBs. The commercialization goal has prompted the development of MOFs and their derivatives as electrode materials, before which the synthesis and mechanism for MOF‐based SIB electrodes with improved sodium storage performance were systematically discussed.
