Co‐reactivation of the human herpesvirus alpha subfamily (herpes simplex virus‐1 and varicella zoster virus) in a critically ill patient with COVID‐19

Abstract: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) is already well known globally 1 . The Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2 infection) causes a spectrum of severe clinical manifestations, which leads to a high rate of intensive care unit (ICU) admissions and mortality.
