“…Although EBV is frequently associated with human lymphoid neoplasms in immunosuppressed patients 18 , several studies have demonstrated that there is also a possible association between EBV and the development of malignancy epithelial cells such as breast tissue, mainly based on some observations that support this hypothesis: (i) high incidence of male breast cancer in EBV-endemic Mediterranean countries; (ii) development of EBV-associated lymphomas at the level of the breasts; and (iii) morphological similarities between breast medullary carcinomas and nasopharyngeal carcinomas 19 .
