Co-Adsorption and Separate Elution of Uranium and Thorium from Acid Solution of Egyptian Monazite by Solvent Impregnated Foam

Abstract: Uranium and thorium were progressively co-adsorbed from the acid solution of Egyptian monazite utilizing dodecyl amine impregnated foam. As a function of contact time, initial uranium and thorium concentrations, pH and adsorption temperature. The attained informations of uranium and thorium co-adsorption were fitted well with Langmuir isotherm.
