Abstract:Experimental performances of new low-power, reliable start-up CMOS RC and crystal oscillators are presented, The oscillators use a modified Fabre-Normand translinear current conveyor for realization of their negative impedance converter. 'Measurements show reliable oscillation start-up for power supply voltages that range from 1.5V to 5V with current consumption from lOOnA to 1.2mA, respectively. Oscillation frequencies up to S5MHz have been observed in circuits fabricated in a modest 2ym CMOS technology.
