Cme Acceleration in Low Corona in Impulsive Flares and Solar Energetic Particles

Abstract

In the impulsive phase of these flares with a duration of less than ~5 min (from the onset of μ-emission at 15.4 GHz to the maximum of soft X-ray (SXR) radiation), bursts of hard X-ray (HXR) and μ-radiation with a large amplitude and duration of less than ~1 min were observed. At the time of these bursts, effective heating and evaporation of the chromospheric plasma appeared, which was expressed in a short (less than ~2 min) time delay of the maximum of the emission measure relative to the maximum of the temperature of the flare plasma. A comparable acceleration of coronal mass ejections (CMEs) occurred during the impulsive phase leading to comparable average velocities. The maximum intensities of electron and proton fluxes in the interplanetary medium did not correlate with the characteristics of CME, SXR, HXR, and μ-radiation. Bursts of non-thermal radiation in the impulsive phase and the CME shock wave were only indirectly related to the acceleration of solar protons and relativistic electrons.
