Abstract:Walt Whitman's 'Crossing Brooklyn Ferry' (CBF) (1856) conveys and constructs an exhilarated passenger's experience with public transportation facilities of mid-nineteenth century New York against the background of modernization, urbanization, industrialization and globalization.
