Abstract. An α-cluster model is applied to study low-lying spectrum of the 9 Λ Be hypernicleus. The ααΛ threebody problem is numerically solved by the Faddeev equations in configuration space using phenomenological pair potentials. Found is a set of the potentials that reproduces experimental data for the ground state ( 1 2 + ) binding energy and excitation energy of the 5 2 + and 3 2 + states, simultaneously. This set includes the Ali-Bodmer potential of version "e" for αα and modified Tang-Herndon potential for αΛ interactions. The spin-orbit αΛ interaction is given by modified Scheerbaum potential. Low-lying energy levels are evaluated applying a variant of the analytical continuation method in coupling constant, and the experimental data for excitation energies are well reproduced by our calculations. This result improves previous α-cluster calculations. It is shown that the spectral properties of 9 Λ Be can be classified as an analog of 9 Be spectrum with the exception of several "genuine hypernuclear states", which agrees qualitatively with previous studies. The energy splitting of spin-flip doublet ( 9 2 + , 7 2 + ) is predicted.

We evaluate the mass polarization term of the kinetic-energy operator for different three-body nuclear AAB systems by employing the method of Faddeev equations in configuration space. For a three-boson system this term is determined by the difference of the doubled binding energy of the AB subsystem 2E 2 and the three-body binding energy E 3 (V AA = 0) when the interaction between the identical particles is omitted. In this case: |E 3 (V AA = 0)| > 2 |E 2 |. In the case of a system complicated by isospins(spins), such as the kaonic clusters K − K − p and ppK − , the similar evaluation is impossible. For these systems it is found thatA model with an AB potential averaged over spin(isospin) variables transforms the later case to the first one. The mass polarization effect calculated within this model is essential for the kaonic clusters. Cluster model of s- and p-shell ΛΛ hypernuclei

The ΛΛ binding energy (BΛΛ) of the s-and p-shell hypernuclei are calculated variationally in the cluster model and multidimensional integrations are performed using Monte Carlo. A variety of phenomenological Λ-core potentials consistent with the Λ-core energies and a wide range of simulated s-state ΛΛ potentials are taken as input. The B ΛΛ of 6 ΛΛ He is explained and 5 ΛΛ He and 5 ΛΛ H are predicted to be particle stable in the ΛΛ-core model. The results for s-shell hypernuclei are in excellent agreement with those of non-VMC calculations. The 10 ΛΛ Be in ΛΛαα model is overbound for combinations of ΛΛ and Λα potentials. A phenomenological dispersive three-body force, VΛαα, consistent with the BΛ of 9 Λ Be in the Λαα model underbinds 10 ΛΛ Be. The incremental ΔBΛΛ values for the s-and p-shell cannot be reconciled, consistent with the finding of earlier analyses.
