Abstract-In order to adapt to the multi network convergence of IoT, this paper summarizes the development status, existing problems and further research priorities of the Internet of Things (IoT) and wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Based on that, a generation method of the energy-saving and intrusion-tolerant self-organizing redundancy cellular architecture wireless sensor network (SORCA-W) topology is proposed to realize the interconnection of multiple sensor networks based on the improvement of the SORCA protocol of the wireless sensor topology. Through this generation method, the network can be firstly divided into hexagonal topology network structures according to the location of nodes, then the neighbor node table can be judged and modified by collection of other network nodes and the network name can be added, so that multiple WSNs can be connected for communication to complete the multinetwork integration in the perception layer of IoT.Keywords Internet of Things; wireless sensor networks; perceptual requirements; topology IntroductionThe IoT, an integration of existing networks [1][2], is a ubiquitous network built on the Internet. It is growing along with the progress of various networks, especially the improvement on the process of the wireless sensor originals. WSNs are the most important part of the IoT [3] and an essential composition of the perception layer of the IoT. The functions of wireless sensor nodes become more diverse with the development of science and technology. Different perception nodes can perceive the information that people need and transfer it to the terminal applications timely and stably, which is a further expansion of the original network and a critical material foundation for the development of the IoT [4]. Security issues of WSNs will be more prominent under the growth of the IoT. The major problems and concerns are as follows: firstly, the existing security technologies fail to meet the requirement of multi-network integration of the IoT; secondly, how to avoid the impact of the newly-added nodes on other networks; thirdly, how to identify different network nodes and how to cooperate; fourthly, whether there are security risks during the message transmission and how to ensure the security of messages in reposting and how to repost messages of 24

Abstract-Energy consumption of sensor nodes in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is a big challenge for improving network lifetime. Several approaches have been proposed in existing literature for this. One of the best approach can be considered as clustering. During clustering strategy, cluster head (CH) selection plays an important role because CH is responsible for collecting data from the member nodes, processing and forwarding the data to next level or sink. Because of this, energy requirement for CH is more than member nodes. In our work we have tried to minimize energy consumption of a network by selecting optimal CH in WSNs using energy and distance parameters. In this paper we propose CH selection algorithm using energy and distance (E/D) parameter based on fan-shaped design. Experimental results prove that our method has advantages of selecting CH over random CH selection method. Clustering divides the network into smaller partitions. Each partition is known as cluster. Each cluster selects a CH which is responsible for collecting data from member nodes and forwarding it to the next cluster or sink during clustering process. Keyword-Wireless SensorCH is a node which consumes more power than member nodes. Hence it should be selected optimally to improve the network performance. Cluster based technique in wireless sensor network employees two types of communication namely intra-cluster communication and inter-cluster communication. In intra-cluster communication the member nodes of a cluster selects a CH and send data to it. During inter-cluster communication one CH will send the aggregated data of a cluster to another CH.In our work we have focused on effective communication strategy to select best CH so that energy spent in communication should be minimized resulting into optimal network utilization. Our work is based on the fanshaped clustering model proposed by Hai Lin et.al [1]. The whole network is divided into fan-shaped clusters in which sink occupies the center position.In this paper we optimize the CH selection procedure by considering following two parameters based on fan shaped architecture. 1. Energy of a node and 2. Distance of a node from sinkThe remainder of this paper is organized as follows: Section 2 describes the clustering technique and its related works. Abstract-The energy resource-contrived is the most difficult aspect of WSN and that energy cannot be recharged. When every sensor node is needed to move ahead the data packet to the sink node, the problem emerges there. Through unmoving, listening and retransmitting, the accessible energy in every node could be lost in this procedure because of collisions as well as overhearing. Network topology management and energy minimization is done due to Cluster-based WSN routing protocols. In clustering in WSN, sensor nodes are sorted into little disjoint clusters, where every cluster has an organizer referred as CH. In this paper, energy efficient clustering techniques related to WSNs are discussed and comparative analysis is also performed.
