Cluster‐Fehlordnung und Ordnungsprinzipien in Al‐stabilisiertem “LaI”

Abstract: Was aussieht wie „LaI“ mit NaCl‐Struktur ist in Wirklichkeit eine aluminiumstabilisierte Clusterverbindung bestehend aus fehlgeordneten La6AlI12‐Clustern mit gemeinsamen Iodatomen (siehe Bild). Erst die quantitative Analyse der diffusen Beugungsdaten konnte die Konstitution dieser Verbindung aufklären und darüber hinaus zeigen, dass die Fehlordnung nicht statistisch, sondern so gleichmäßig verteilt ist, wie es die Zusammensetzung La≈0.7I1−xAlx (x≈0.14) bei gegebenem Gitter zulässt.
