Cloud Testing: A State-of-the-Art Review

Abstract: This paper provides a state-of-the-art review of cloud testing. Cloud computing, a new paradigm for developing and delivering computing applications and services, has gained considerable attention in recent years. Cloud computing can impact all software life cycle stages, including the area of software testing. TaaS (Testing as a Service) or cloud testing, which includes testing the cloud and testing using the cloud, is a fast developing area of research in software engineering. The paper addresses the followi… Show more

“…In request to test a framework's abilities and accessibility, his reaction in excellent circumstance is examined and checked [5]- [7]. Deficiency infusion is the vital activity for testing and making these anomalous circumstances for a framework, offering him as info defective states [8]. The inspiration around this sort of testing where the framework is purposefully presented to undesirable situations is that genuine occasions are difficult to gather and desirable over be dodged.…”

“…In front of an active and continuing interest by the community in cloud testing research, there does not exist a recent and comprehensive classification of research results that can guide researchers in entering this field. Several authors provided an overview of the issues and the opportunities in testing of the cloud or testing in the cloud, e.g., [16,78,126,152], but not based on a systematic study of literature. A few systematic surveys or mapping studies have also been conducted, e.g., [4,71,76,115,122,164].…”

“…Several papers overview informally existing methods and tools for cloud testing based on an ad hoc selection of the literature, without applying a systematic approach [16], [152], [78], [122], [126]. In the early years of the topic, such papers were certainly useful to provide a quick introduction to the field.…”
