Abstract-Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems are the organizations tickets to the global market. Thus, organizations can manage and coordinate all functions, processes, resources and data from different departments by a single software. However, many organizations consider the cost of traditional ERP is expensive and look for alternative affordable solutions within their budget. One of these alternative solutions is providing ERP over a software as a service (SaaS) model. A key feature of any SaaS system is the multi-tenancy architecture where multiple customers (tenants) share the system software. However, the SaaS developers accommodate each tenant's unique requirements by allowing tenant-level customization or configuration. While customization requires source code changes and in most cases a programming experience, the configuration process allows user to change many features within a pre-defined scope in an easy and controlled manner. Although literature provides many techniques to accomplish the configuration process in different SaaS systems, the nature and complexity of SaaS ERP are merely described in previous researches. Thus, this research is built on strong knowledge regarding the configuration in SaaS to define specifically the configuration borders in SaaS ERP and to design a configuration service with the consideration of the different configuration aspects.Index Terms-Configuration, software as a service, multi-tenancy, ERP.

Abstract-Cloud services are becoming popular in terms of distributed technology because they allow cloud users to rent well-specified resources of computing, network, and storage infrastructure. Users pay for their use of services without needing to spend massive amounts for integration, maintenance, or management of the IT infrastructure. Before interaction occurs between cloud providers and users, trust in the cloud relationship is very important to minimize the security risk and malicious attacks. The notion of trust involves several dimensions. These dimensions include: the scalability, availability, security, and usability parameters of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and DaaS. Each of these dimensions is characterized by fuzzy aspects and linguistic terms. This paper develops a model for each of the dimensions for IaaS using fuzzy-set theory. It then uses the sugeno fuzzy-inference approach for developing an overall measure of trust value of the cloud providers. It is not easy to evaluate the cloud metrics for a general domain. So, in this paper, we will use an e-learning application as the main example when we collect the data and apply the fuzzy model to evaluate the trust for cloud computing. Test and results are presented to evaluate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed model.

Abstract-The cloud provider plays a major role especially providing resources such as computing power for the cloud subscriber to deploy their applications on multiple platforms anywhere; anytime. Hence the cloud users still having problem for resource management in receiving the guaranteed computing resources on time. This will impact the service time and the service level agreements for various users in multiple applications. Therefore there is a need for a new resolution to resolve this problem. This survey paper conducts a study in resource allocation and monitoring in the cloud computing environment. We describe cloud computing and its properties, research issues in resource management mainly in resource allocation and monitoring and finally solutions approach for resource allocation and monitoring. It is believed that this paper would benefit both cloud users and researchers for further knowledge on resource management in cloud computing.Index Terms-Resource allocation, resource monitoring, cloud computing, resource management. I. INTRODUCTIONCloud Computing, a service model was introduced to provide computing resources such as computing power, storage and bandwidth to deliver the IT services to the organization. This service model is rapidly being adopted by many organizations because it offers lots of business opportunity especially in terms of financial investment and human capital. With cloud services, the organization may opt out to set up a data center for its IT infrastructure or to procure hardware and software for its business applications as they can lease the resources from the cloud service provider. Initial providers in cloud computing such as Amazon EC2 [1], Google Apps Engine [2] , Microsoft Azure [3], SalesForce.com [4] offers great business value to the interested organizations who want to subscribe the services with a concept pay-per-use, on-demand and a defined Service level agreements (SLAs). For example, Google Apps Engine offers monthly uptime percentage: 99.00% -< 99.95% for client for its covered services. For the downtime period, they offer a period of five consecutive minutes of downtime. This value is an attractive package for the client, because they manage to control the usage of resources and demands more, faster and reliable infrastructure.
