This article explores the scientific and methodological background of the creation and development of the cloud-based learning and research environment in the context of open science priorities and the European Research Area (ERA) formation. The conceptual and terminology body of the cloud-based environment investigation and the main features of such an environment are delineated. The main methodological principles of the environment design and development, for instance, the principles of open science, open education and also the specific principles inherent to the cloud-based systems are described. The study aim is to analyze the conceptual body, principles, and features of the formation and development of the cloud-based educational and research environment in the context of the open science concept. The objective of the study is to determine the prospects of cloud technologies that are used to support educational and scientific activities and to outline the principles and technologies of open science use and explore their broader application in pedagogical systems of higher educational institutions. The research methods are the analysis of official international documents, publications on the research, observation, comparison, the analysis of the experience of the educational and scientific application of cloud technologies, and experimental studies. The results of the research substantiate cloud technologies in the principles of creation and development of the learning and research environment (LRE) of a higher education institution. The concept of the cloud-based environment is explained; the characteristic features of its functioning are outlined. Additionally, the prospects and estimation of the cloud-based LRE development in the aspect of open science are defined. Conclusions and recommendations encompass the application of cloud-based open science technologies covering European research infrastructures, scientific and educational networks, European open science cloud, and also cloud services for collecting, submitting and processing data as a topical and promising trend for the development and modernization of the learning and research environment of higher education institutions.

Small Micro Medium Enterprises (SMME) is one of the business enterprises that has a prime role in the development of economic growth in Indonesia. The SMME also not only reduces the number of jobless but also improve the community's standard of living. Nonetheless, in this globalization era where the technology reaches its peak in every field, some SMME entrepreneurs have not taken advantage of IT-based business yet. On the other hand, the utilization of IT in the business field has many profitable benefits. This could make the SMME faced trouble and hard to survive in the tight competition with other bigger enterprises that had applied IT in the future. The main reason that SMME entrepreneur has not applied the IT system is that they lack fund. Moreover, cloud computing is a technology that can be used for every SMME entrepreneur without any costs. The advantages of this system utilization are to improve competitiveness, increase its flexibility, reduce costs, and to improve both agility and scalability. This research is based on a literature study that describes research's aim that is to seek advantages from cloud computing implementation towards SMME in Indonesia so they can compete with international enterprises with a bigger scale. The researcher expects that SMME entrepreneurs in Indonesia can utilize Information technology particularly cloud computing, to support their business.

Cloud computing provides services that allocate infrastructure resources using the Internet as a medium and data storage on an external server. Small and medium corporations are the foundation of any flourishing economy for a growing nation which seeks new and innovative methods to reduce the way they manage their resources. Over a couple of decades, Information technology (IT) has created a significant impact in improving the lives of people and alsoon the global economy due to tremendous digital transformation. With the growth of the Small and medium corporations, IT is creating some real impact in enabling these industries to undergo adigital transformation of their business processes while they continue to grow. Small and medium enterprises (SME’s) are usually identified as the dominant force for the growth of any country's economy. In the cloud computing environment, the SME's need not have the in-house infrastructure so they can give up on any initial expenditure for setting up and instead they can utilize the resources available on the cloud and pay as per their requirement and usage.This paper presents the results of a comprehensive interpretation to research some of the most commonly used SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) implementations in the domain of Cloud Computing firstly to identify the weaknesses of the traditional computing approach for SME’s, and secondly to identify the aspects of these weaknesses that can be overcome by implementing cloud computing.In this paper, we provided the overview of various cloud computing models and literature survey of these models. This study extends to create an own cloud computing system for small and medium corporations. We will be using Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) approach and see how small and medium corporations can leverage on this for their business operations.
