Closure of Cystotomy in Dogs Using Different Types of Suture Materials and Tissue Adhesive

Abstract: Experimental ventral cystotomy wounds were performed on 72 adult dogs of different sex and age. Cystotomy wound was closed by chromic catgut, polyglycolic acid, vicryl, Polysorb, silk and methyl-2-Cyanoacrylate super glue. Animals were sacrificed at one, two and three weeks postoperatively, and site of operation were examined grossly, microscopically and by scanning electron microscopy.
