Closed-loop stability-enhancing control of shunt FACTS devices using phasor measurements

Abstract: This paper addresses the problem of closed-loop stability-enhancing control of shunt FACTS devices. As the feedback signals, rotor angles and speed deviations of the generators have been used as supplied by a wide-area phasor measurement system.
