Abstract:Background: Pancytopenia is due to bone marrow failure characterized by anemia, leukopenia, and thrombocytopenia. It a common hematological disorder. Low blood counts in the bone marrow failure disease result from deficient hematopoiesis. Marrow damage and dysfunction also may be secondary to infection, inflammation, or cancer.
