Clinical supervision: what do you do after saying hello?

Abstract: Many units are beginning to explore and introduce a formal system of clinical supervision. Potential supervisors may feel unprepared for the role that is expected of them. In this article the work of Brigid Proctor and her formative, normative and restorative perspectives of supervion are related to that of John Heron's six categories of intervention.
