Abstract: Background and purpose: Endovascular coil embolization is an acceptable first-line treatment modality for ruptured anterior communicating artery (AcoA) aneurysms. The management varies among institutions because the causes for selection of coil embolization include not only aneurysm morphology but also institutional factors.
