Disputes also split the two camps-on the one hand Dubois and Dejerine devote much space to criticising Bernheim and Freud (and vice versa), whilst on the organic side the arguments between Althaus and Arndt, and between Beard and Hammond, about the nature of the pathology were even more ill tempered.…”
