Clinical impact of cardiovascular disease on patients with bronchiectasis

Abstract: Background: Patients with bronchiectasis have a higher cardiovascular risk than their matched controls. However, the effect of cardiovascular (CV) disease on bronchiectasis remains unclear. “…The anti-inflammatory effects ( 55 , 56 ) of bronchodilators (LABAs/ LAMAs, SABAs/SAMAs), steroids, and antiarrhythmic drugs are limited; thus, the effect of these drugs for ameliorating the progression of persistent artery stiffness was suboptimal.
